A shock American Idol verdict sent Mandisa packing from the competition this week.The Tennessee native, who had been considered to be one of the frontrunners to win, left after a controversial week that saw her accused of making a comment with a "homophobic" overtone.Joining Mandisa in the bottom three were two of the other favourites, Elliott Yamin and Paris Bennett.Next week the final eight will go on to perform in a Queen-themed show.
